Brit Awards 2010 host Peter Kay has continued his spat with Liam Gallagher, branding the former Oasis singer a “knobhead” for a second time.

The comedian was responding after the singer hit back on Twitter.com/liamgallagher account yesterday (February 17) for not insulting him to his face.

Kay called Gallagher a “knobhead” after he left the stage following his speech for winning the Brit Album Of 30 Years award for the 1995 Oasis album ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’.

The singer threw his microphone and award into the audience as he walked offstage.

Writing on his official site Peterkay.co.uk, the comic said: “So it was the Brits last night (February 16) and I was honoured to be asked to host the show, especially with it being 30 years old. Congratulations to all the winners, including Noel Gallagher, who sadly didn’t get a mention (and who thankfully isn’t a knobhead).”

The Oasis singer pointedly refused to acknowledge his brother’s contribution to the album in his speech at the Earls Court ceremony, even though Noel wrote all the songs on the record.

Liam Gallagher had an eventful night at the Brits, with the singer also giving an insightful backstage interview where he insinuated that somebody else at the awards had had an argument with him. He was then heard saying that he wanted to get “loads of class A drugs” as the interview ended.
